Sikorsky to Polish MoD: give us more time
According to the information provided by the Deputy Defence Minister Czeslaw Mroczek, on 7th November, Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. has submitted a request for the transfer of designated on 28th November a deadline for submission of bids in the tender for the acquisition of 70 multi-role helicopters in versions: transport, CSAR and ASW.

Whether conducting a tender Armament Inspectorate accede to this request and again decides to change the deadline for submission of tenders we will learn in the next few days. Earlier Sikorsky AC reported that if conditions of the procedure will not change, the American company will not make an offer. The request for extension of the deadline for submission of tenders may suggest that Americans are interested in further participation in the tender on the present conditions.
At the end of October Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation CEO, Mick Maurer, sent a letter to the Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski, indicating that his company at the current requirements of the Polish side, will not make a bid for the 70 helicopters for the Polish armed forces. The American side had repeatedly informed the Poles of the impossibility to fully meet the Polish demands, in technical, economic, legal and financial terms (more: Sikorsky will not make a bid in the Polish tender for helicopters?).
